Policy
We
aim to offer a first class service to our customers. As part of this, we like
to treat customers as we would like to be treated ourselves. Our Returns Policy
reflects this and is based on what we believe to be the spirit of absolute fairness
to all parties.
30 Day Money-Back Guarantee
With
a couple of exceptions (see below**), should you buy anything from us and it is
not suited for any reason whatsoever, so long as it is returned to us within 30
days in new condition* we would be happy to give you a full refund, no questions
asked.
* (N.B. this includes any gift boxes and printed cardboard
boxes/outers etc. which came with the product and, as such, need to be returned
'as new' too). Please be careful, therefore, not to damage anything when opening
the product(s), boxes and cartons etc., because clearly we would have difficulty
re-selling items which were damaged or had damaged or dog-eared gift boxes and/or
their printed cardboard outers. To that end, all items need carefully protecting
with bubblewrap etc. when being returned to us. Should they arrive damaged
or dog-eared we would not be able to re-sell them as new and would therefore have
to reduce the amount of the refund accordingly. With specific regard to
fountain pens, obviously once they have been 'inked' they can no longer be regarded
as 'new' so please bear that in mind too. Please also follow Royal Mail guidelines
when packing and returning items.
** Limited Edition, Special
Edition, specially-ordered non-stock items and Personalised Items: Please
note that specially ordered non-stock items, all limited edition
writing instruments, all special edition writing instruments and
any items which have been personalised are excluded from our full money-back
guarantee. With such items we may only be able to offer a partial refund
(or none at all if personalised) because we too are unlikely to be able to return
them, i.e. to our own supplier. We would also need to recoup the cost of any insurance
when in transit, for high value goods requiring it, as well as any non-standard,
expedited or non-UK delivery costs. (Obviously with personalised items and many
specially ordered non-stock items including limited/special edition writing instruments
we may have no chance of reselling them if returned). If in doubt please check
with us before buying and, for instance, perhaps order just one such special/limited
edition item first to check that you are happy with it before ordering any larger
quantity. Thank you.
Returns Postage
Our full refund
to you would include the original price of the product(s), any VAT and the original
postage cost levied at the time of the original transaction.
However,
we would only pay for return postage to us in the unlikely event that either
the products were faulty or if we had sent you the wrong ones, in which case we
would be happy to reimburse you for reasonable [in our absolute opinion] return
postage costs too.
